Gris Rubion (グリス・ルビオン, Gurisu Rubion) is a character in Gachiakuta. He is member of the Cleaners as a Supporter.
Appearance[]
Gris is a a tall and well-built man in his early 30s with blond hair styled in a mullet, sharp eyebrows, a goatee, light blue eyes and a defining scar going across his left eye. He is always seen wearing the uniform of the Cleaners.

Personality[]
Gris is an honourable man. Despite being a supporter (which some like Follo desire to 'get out of') he takes pride in his work and gets it done efficiently. He isn't afraid to recognize others and respect them, such as Riyou, Follo or Rudo. While imposing at first, Gris is really a kind man who will help and listen to others.

Workplace Observation Arc[]
Gris is seen amongst the many Cleaners staying at HQ[4], and is later recruited onto Riyo's cleanup mission. Riyo introduces him to Rudo, who immediately comes to learn of his strong grip[5]. A group of Trash beasts, including a very large one, emerges. As Riyo engages them in battle, Gris and the rest get to work, advising Rudo to do the same. As a beast emerges from behind Rudo, Gris crushes its skull and launches it towards Riyo, who promptly kills it. Gris and others continue to clear the rest of the beasts out. As Gris watches Riyo, a beast almost takes Follo out. Gris blames himself for this and thanks Rudo. Gris then questions Riyo on whether she had defeated the big one, and is shocked when she reveals she cannot kill it.[6]
Gris struggles to believe a beast wouldn't be effected by a Vital Instrument, but pulls together and prepares to evacuate nearby towns and report the beast as a new type. In the beasts rage, Rudo is nearly killed but Gris saves him and runs away, stating it's ok to do so. Upon Riyo defeating the beast, he is even more shocked to find it was powered by another Vital Instrument.[7] A party is held to celebrate Rudo being welcomed to the Ground, and Gris sits with a rather depressed Rudo. He thanks Rudo and tells him he did good against the beast. After a long talk, he reassures Rudo and two go off to eat.[8]
Raiders Trap Arc[]
The following day, Gris is summoned alongside Zanka and Rudo to go follow up on a cleaning request. On the way, Follo reveals Gris has an amulet which he prays to before missions, to his embarrassment. After being spooked by the merchant who requested them, they are led into a trap set by the Raiders in a warehouse.[9] Gris and the other supporters find an exit, and while a few head up to contact backup, Gris, Follo and Rudo remain behind for Zanka. Hearing footsteps coming , the group believe it to be Zanka, but discover it is Jabber Wonger, one of the Vandals. Follo and Griss attempt to attack only to be stopped, and as Jabber approaches Rudo, Griss gets in the way, prepared to defend Rudo to his last breath, only for Jabber piece him and declare him dead[10].
As Gris lies on the floor bleeding out, Follo does his best to cover the wound[11], and once backup arrives, Gris is tended to by Eishia Stilza.[12] Once the group returns to the Cleaners Headquarters, Gris quickly recovers in hospital thanks to Eishia, and calms down both Rudo and Follo who feared the worst.[13]
The Lady Of Penta Arc[]
Gris is selected to join Rudo on his mission into Penta. Before going there, they stopped off in Canvas Town, and upon hearing of Gob’s death, Gris mourns him.[14]
Trash Storm Arc[]
Griss driving to Janitors location
Gris, Follo and Tomme accompany team Akuta to Dan Dulse to unwind after their mission to Penta but they’re surprised attacked by the Raiders who use Cthoni’s Vital Instrument to teleport away team Akuta and team Child leaving the support team behind.
He’s later seen driving to the Cleaners location with the other supporters, team Eager and Eishia.[15]
Information Broker Arc[]
Gris and Follo are assigned on the mission to meet with the information broker.[16]
Abilities[]
As a cleaners, Gris is expected to fight beasts on a day to day basis. Despite lacking a Vital Instrument, he can rely on his other skills.
- Strength: Gris has incredible strength. His grip especially stands out, with a simple handshake causing Rudo pain. With just one hand he is able to crush the armour of an Trash Beast, which is known to be tough. He is also able to throw said beasts incredible distances.
- Leadership: Among the supporters, Gris seems to take leader, taking care of members like Rudo and Follo and reminding them to not slack off.
Relationships[]
Rudo[]
Gris acts as a mentor figure to Rudo, aiding him several times while also keeping him in check. When off duty, Gris personally thanks Rudo and treats him as an equal rather than a kid.
Riyo[]
Gris has great respect and trust in Riyo, believing in her ability to take down all the beasts he throws her way.
Follo[]
Similar to Rudo, Gris is a mentor figure to Follo, thanking others on his behalf and recognising him.
